Red Rock Day School’s kindergarten through eighth-grade students enjoy a safe and nurturing learning environment. Student life in our educational program includes group activities, programs, and individualized services to foster mental, physical, social and emotional growth. Our Navajo community supports students with various learning initiatives and personal development programs.
Afterschool Homework Support/Tutoring
Students seeking additional help with their classwork or homework can make arrangements with specific teachers or staff members. Meeting after school to receive support from tutors helps students keep pace with their classmates. Our academic support and tutoring services ensure students stay on track to advance and graduate on time.
Digital Citizenship
Red Rock Day School students are given plenty of opportunities to pursue their academic and extracurricular passions. Digital citizenship prepares students for the technologies waiting for them in middle school, high school, college, and beyond. Students learn and practice various digital skill sets, including computer technology, telecommunications, web-based technologies, and more. We provide students with the educational, emotional, cultural, and digital support they need to become graduates, professionals, lifelong learners, and responsible Navajo citizens.
21st Century Programs
21st-century Programs provide learning opportunities outside of the classroom. Learning centers are established throughout the community where students can participate in various activities across many disciplines. These Programs provide academic enrichment for students interested in math, science, art, music, telecommunications, advanced technologies, and more.
Navajo Language / Culture
Red Rock Day School students will learn to express and identify with their Navajo language and culture. Knowledgeable teachers, community members, and Tribal leaders share valuable lessons, workshops, activities, celebrations, and tutorials on the Navajo tradition and heritage. Our curriculum provides instruction in Tribal language and culture as the local school board approves.
Athletic / PE Programs
Physical fitness and education are priorities at Red Rock Day School. Students' minds, bodies, and spirits will develop through sports competitions and various P.E. programs. Our students increase self-confidence, build character, and develop leadership skills as they participate in sports teams and athletics. Sports seasons strengthen our school community and bond as we unite to support our student-athletes.
College and Career Readiness
Red Rock Day School students are introduced to the skills and habits that will be useful as they graduate and begin their academic and professional careers. Red Rock student life begins a track that leads to success and accomplishment. Students become familiar with the various opportunities that are presented to them. Whether through academic clubs, sports, or cultural programs, students can practice the skills that will prepare them for the future.
